Meagan
Registered Veterinary Technician
Bio
Meagan has always had a passion for caring and working with animals but her biggest passion is working with exotic pets, especially birds (avians). Her passion for birds comes from her Grandmother who owned cockatiels and shared her love of them with Meagan. She has always owned a cockatiel as well as many other birds. Currently, she has two cockatiels, a few dogs, a cat, a chinchilla, a bearded dragon, seven chickens, and potential fish in the near future. All these pets along with their son make her and her husband’s household feel like a mini petting zoo. Meagan and her family treat all of their beloved pets as individuals with lots of love, treats, and quality time.
Meagan takes her intrinsic love and passion for quality care to make sure every pet that comes through the door at Blue Oaks Vet is treated as if they were her own; they get lots of love, patience, time, and of course treats. Her end goal is to make sure both pets and clients leave happy and well-educated on their individualized medical options. She wants them to feel comfortable returning because going to the doctor’s office is scary enough. Meagan has been working and volunteering in the veterinary field for over 15 years. She feels that Blue Oaks is an amazing place to work as well as bring your pet to; the entire staff works hard to make everyone feel welcome, they are all very knowledgeable and use amazing communication skills to work together as a team. Meagan loves what she does, especially where she works, and can not wait to meet you and your pet family members!
One random fact about Meagan that she’d like to share is that she has driven buses in the past, including double-decker buses, and still currently holds a Class B license in case she ever feels the need to drive a bus again.
